Responsible Gambling at z16
Gambling is entertainment. At z16, we are committed to keeping it that way for every Malaysian player on our platform. This page explains your tools, your rights, and where to get help if you ever need it.
Gambling Should Always Be Entertainment
At z16, we believe that online gambling — whether you're tracking EPL fixtures from Kuala Lumpur or following a Liga Super Malaysia parlay from Penang — should be enjoyable, controlled, and undertaken with full awareness of both the entertainment value and the financial risks involved.
Problem gambling can affect anyone, regardless of income, education, or background. The signs are often subtle and develop gradually. That is why z16 has built responsible gambling tools directly into the player dashboard — not hidden behind a support ticket, but available immediately and by default to every registered player in Malaysia.
We encourage every player to approach gambling with a fixed budget, a time limit, and a clear understanding that the house always holds mathematical edge in the long run. Winning is possible and happens every day on z16 — but gambling responsibly means never wagering money you cannot afford to lose, never chasing losses, and knowing when to step away.
The tools described on this page are yours to use freely. Setting a deposit limit does not affect your account standing or your eligibility for promotions. Requesting a cooling-off period will not be questioned. If you need to self-exclude, we will honour that request completely and immediately. This is not a compliance exercise — it is a genuine commitment to the players who trust us.
z16's Responsible Gambling Pledge
We enforce a strict 21+ minimum age requirement and verify it through KYC documentation.
Responsible gambling tools — deposit limits, session timers, loss limits, self-exclusion — are always accessible in your player dashboard.
We will never pressure a player to reverse a self-exclusion or to increase their limits.
We train our support team to recognise and respond appropriately to signs of gambling harm.
We provide plain-language information about gambling risks and do not glamourise chasing losses or high-volume play.
We partner with external support organisations and surface their contact details prominently — including on this page.
Your Responsible Gambling Toolkit
Every one of these tools is available inside your z16 account dashboard, accessible at any time, at no cost, and without any negative impact on your account standing.
Set a maximum deposit amount for any rolling daily, weekly, or monthly period. Once a limit is set, it takes effect immediately. Increases require a 7-day cooling period before they activate — giving you time to reconsider. Decreases take effect right away.
Cap the maximum net loss you are willing to sustain over a defined period. When your loss limit is reached, further betting is automatically paused for the remainder of that period. This tool is particularly effective for players who find it difficult to stop after a losing run.
Set a session duration limit and receive a notification when you have been playing for that length of time. You can also set a hard session cap that ends your session automatically, regardless of the outcome. Losing track of time is one of the most common early signs of problematic play.
Configure regular on-screen pop-ups that show you a real-time summary of your session — time elapsed, net win or loss, and number of bets placed. This transparency helps you make an informed decision about whether to continue or stop.
Take a temporary break from z16 for 24 hours,48 hours, 7 days, or 30 days. During a cooling-off period, you will not be able to log in, deposit, or place bets. Your account remains intact and accessible again once the period ends — no questions asked.
Request a longer-term self-exclusion for periods of 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, or permanently. Once a self-exclusion is activated, z16 will close your account immediately, suppress all marketing communications, and maintain the exclusion for the full duration. This cannot be reversed early.
How to Set Your Deposit Limit
Setting a deposit limit takes less than two minutes. Here is how to do it right now on z16. Decreases are applied instantly; increases have a mandatory 7-day review period for your protection.
Access z16.cam and sign in with your registered username and password. Enable two-factor authentication if you have not already done so.
Click on your account name in the top right corner, then select "Player Safety" from the dropdown menu to access all responsible gambling tools.
Choose whether to set a daily, weekly, or monthly deposit limit. You can set limits for one, two, or all three time periods simultaneously — they operate independently.
Type your chosen limit amount in Malaysian Ringgit. The minimum limit is RM30. There is no maximum — your limit is whatever you decide is right for your budget and circumstances.
Review your chosen limit and click "Confirm". Reductions take effect immediately. If you are increasing an existing limit, a mandatory 7-day waiting period applies before the new, higher limit activates.
We recommend reviewing your deposit limits at least once a month. Your financial situation and priorities may change — your limits should reflect your actual budget, not an aspirational one.
Recognising Problem Gambling
Problem gambling rarely announces itself. It develops gradually and the people closest to it are often the last to recognise it. The following signs are widely recognised indicators that gambling may be becoming harmful.
Ask Yourself These Questions
This is not a clinical diagnostic tool — it is a set of honest questions to help you reflect on your relationship with gambling. If you answer "yes" to several of these, we encourage you to review your limits or reach out for support.
Have you ever deposited more than you planned to on a single day because you were trying to recover losses from an earlier session?
Do you find yourself thinking about gambling frequently when you are not playing — planning your next session, calculating odds, or replaying past bets in your mind?
Have you ever gambled with money earmarked for essential expenses such as rent, groceries, or loan repayments?
Have you ever felt restless, irritable, or anxious when attempting to reduce or stop gambling?
Have you hidden your gambling activity from family or friends, or been dishonest about how much time or money you have spent on gambling?
Have you borrowed money — or considered borrowing money — from friends, family, or financial institutions specifically to fund gambling?
Have you tried to stop or cut down on gambling and found that you were unable to do so despite a genuine intention to change?
Does gambling negatively affect your mood, your sleep, your work performance, or your relationships with the people around you?

We are available around the clock and will handle all such requests with sensitivity and complete confidentiality.
Keeping the Platform Away from Under-21s
z16 takes its obligation to prevent underage gambling seriously. In addition to our KYC age verification process, we encourage parents and guardians in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor Bahru, and across Malaysia to take additional steps to prevent minors from accessing gambling platforms.
- Use device-level parental controls on shared computers, tablets, and smartphones to restrict access to gambling websites.
- Do not save your z16 login credentials on shared devices or browsers that minors have access to.
- Consider using internet filtering software that blocks gambling categories — several free options are available for Malaysian home networks.
- Talk openly with your children about the risks of gambling and make clear that z16 — like all gambling platforms — is for adults aged 21 and above only.
- If you suspect a minor has accessed your account, contact z16 support at [email protected] immediately so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
